Charlotte, NC (February 1, 2007) – Continental Tire North America, Inc. (CTNA) is announcing a price increase of up to 5% on all Continental, General and Proprietary Brand passenger and light truck tires in the United States.The price increase is a result of the escalation of raw materials, including natural rubber. The price increase will vary by market line and/or tire size. This increase is effective April 2, 2007. Continental Tire North America, Inc. (www.continentaltire.com), based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a group company of Germany-based Continental Corporation, a leading supplier of brake systems, chassis components, vehicle electronics, tires and technical elastomers.
