Continental has developed a systematic process to introduce minority and women-owned businesses into the supply chain. That process is outlined below. To be considered, it is important that potential suppliers follow the process and provide the required information.

A) Provide cover letter addressed to Michael A. Harris, Supplier Diversity Coordinator, Continental North America. Letter should include the following:

• Clearly state what product or service you would like to offer Continental.
• Detail how your company will provide value add service to Continental.
• Does your company currently supply the auto industry? If so, list the names of OEM or Tier 1 companies who are your direct customers. For production component suppliers, provide a brief summary of your companies experience in the manufacturing of brake, chassis, electronics and tire components.
• Include your company's annual sales revenue for the past three years.

B) Required Information from Suppliers

• Current copy of your MBE or WBE certificate
• Current copy of you QS9000 certificate (if applicable)
• Production suppliers need to supply a copy of PPM and delivery rating from their two largest customers
• Machinery lists
• Company profile (2 copies)
• Business cards
• Please indicate in the cover letter which minority classification the company would be: African-American, Hispanic American, Native American, Asian Pacific, and Asian-Indian American.
