Greater economy I We are of one mind with our customers on the primary importance of cost-efficiency. We reduce fuel consumption not only by means of weight optimization but also by lowering rolling resistance without compromising safety. Since 2002 we have succeeded in lowering the rolling resistance of various truck tire lines by 8%. For the average 150,000 km traveled each year, this works out to diesel fuel savings of 1,600 liters. The resulting 4-tonne reduction in CO2 emissions is climate protection at work. By 2012 we intend to apply our innovative engineering prowess to achieve a further 10% reduction in rolling resistance.
