What’s in it for Continental?

As part of our environmental program we proactively try to make use of end of life tires. This can be via material recovery where the rubber is shredded and ground into powder that be again used as raw material in new tires or if the complete casings are good enough be considered for retreading.

As a result we only aim to cover our costs for the transport of the goods to Industrial solid tire reclaim and retread facility. This service is cost neutral. It does not represent a loss or profit to Continental.
