How long have you worked at Continental?
I joined the company as a result of the VDO takeover.

What is a typical work day like for you? Is there such a thing?
In my role as an assistant I am responsible for coordinating the department. I also have a large number of other tasks though, such as creating and updating our department's website, and putting together the R&D infoletter.

What is the most exciting part of your job?
At the moment, I am finding Cost Center Controlling really exciting. It is also very important at the moment so that we are able to steer our company through this difficult time.

How important is teamwork for you?
Teamwork is very important. In a global corporation such as Continental it is impossible for everyone to know everything. A functioning network means that the required information can be obtained more easily, however, so I do my best to maintain relationships.

Which talents are required in order to work successfully at Continental?
In my job particularly, character traits such as dependability, loyalty and good manners are vital.

Anyone who is interested in the automotive industry and who enjoys working on high-tech products will feel at home at Continental. The fantastic working atmosphere is the main reason that I feel at ease here.

How do you rate the career opportunities at Continental?
It is really up to each individual to decide how much effort they put in to their career. Employees need to impress their superiors with their good work. A functioning network can also open several doors.

Which three things do you like most about Continental?
I have a strong affinity to cars and can identify very well with the products. My work content is also very interesting. The good relationship I have with my boss is also very important to me.

How do you strike a balance between work, free time and family?
Sometimes there just isn't enough time for everything. But I am happy with my work-life balance, since I really enjoy my work.

How do you spend your free time?
I try to stay fit by exercising and eating healthily. To relax after a hard day's work I enjoy listening to music or reading a good book.

How do you envision your professional future at Continental?
Overall I am happy with my current position. I have only just been assigned new areas of responsibility and want to concentrate on those at the moment.
