Martin Musinsky at Continental

Martin Musinsky

"No two days are the same at Continental"

How long have you worked at Continental?
Since 2006

How did you come to join the company?
I previously worked at the university. I felt I had had enough of the theoretical side for the time being and wanted to get more involved in the practical side of things. Continental was my first choice from the start, being as the company is one of the largest employers in my home town of Otrokovice. As an international technology corporation, it offers incredible development opportunities.

What is a typical work day like for you? Is there such a thing?
My job is very varied. In one capacity, I am responsible for human resources marketing and recruiting. In another, I take care of organizing continuing education. In addition, I also work as an internal trainer — for the communications area, for example.

How do you rate the career opportunities at Continental?
In general, I think the opportunities are very good. Continental is careful to make sure that the career opportunities are transparent. It also does a lot to help people build up an internal network. All employees take part in the Corporate Entry Conference at the start of their career. This presents an ideal opportunity for them to make contacts and gain an insight.

Why should prospective employees choose Continental?
Continental has a long tradition. Very often several generations have worked at the company. This makes for a strong mutual bond. Particularly in Otrokovice, Continental is quite simply the employer of choice.

What skills and knowledge are required for a career at Continental?
High-level proficiency in English is a basic prerequisite when working at an international corporation like Continental. Flexibility is also an important factor.

How important is teamwork for you?
I enjoy working together with others. We are a young team that takes on challenges and strives for shared success. Teamwork is also important for obtaining information.

How do you spend your free time?
I try to offset my daily work routine by getting involved in lots of sports. I also enjoy meeting friends or spending time with my family.
