Faye, the current Club Captain, is one of English football's most decorated players having won 26 honours in 14 seasons with the Gunners. A commanding centre-back, Faye had the honour of receiving an MBE in 2006 and has captained her country in three major tournaments.
Carney joined Birmingham City L.F.C. at the age of 11 and played at various age levels for the club. Carney joined Arsenal L.F.C. on 13 July 2006, and played a major part in the team that won four major honours in the 2006/07 season. Chicago Red Stars of the WPS made Carney their first signing on 27 January 2009. She was selected by Chicago Red Stars in the third round of the 2008 WPS International Draft. She joined Head Coach Emma Hayes, who had served as Arsenal Ladies Football Club's first team assistant coach. When Chicago Red Stars folded ahead of their 2011 season, Carney re-signed for Birmingham City.
Annie joined this season after playing for Buffalo Flash in the USA, before moving to play in America Annie played Chelsea, Millwall and Charlton. Annie combines her playing duties with a role as club ambassador where she works with local schools and clubs to promote Women's football in Bristol.
With English and Welsh blood in her, Kylie has been able to represent both countries and has built an impressive football CV. For England Kylie has played at Under 15, Under 17, Under 19, Under 21 and Under 23 level. These days Kylie plays for the Welsh senior side. Maria Karlsson
The 26-year old central midfielder/defender, who had 154 caps and scored 17 goals during her time in the Damallsvenskan, became the first Swedish international to sign for a team in the new FAWSL semi-professional league.
Williams has over 90 caps for England seniors and has scored 34 goals, making her debut for her homeland aged just 17 in November 2001. Fara featured in the Blues' 2007/08 FA Women's Premier League Cup and 2009/10 FA Women's Cup victories, and has also won the FA International Player of the Year Award twice - in 2007 and 2009. She was named Everton's Player of the Season in 2009.
The most capped female England player in the Country. Sue brings some much needed experience to our young squad. Technically a very good left winger Sue will also bring some balance to the side as well as hopefully scoring some goals. A very tricky player who is calm on the ball she is the most high profile member of the squad and another crowd pleaser.
Former Everton defender Jo has been a regular in Liverpool's first team for eight years. An ex-England youth international (49 caps), her composure and experience at the back are vital to the squad. |
