April 2010:
Premium tickets for 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa to win

Hanover (pps) Actually everything is really simple. Theoretically. Only the goal is a tyre most of the time. But every fan should understand that, after all it is game of Continental AG, the Official Sponsor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ finals in South Africa. And finally Continental offers 15 winners plus an accompanying person the opportunity to watch a World Cup match live in Johannesburg – among them a quarter-final and even the final

Continental’s game is called ContiTireKick. For the first time the tyre manufacturer has co-operated with the Internet platform Facebook for an online game. The registered Facebook users can play for the best “online kicker” and “level designer” at http://www.contitirekick.com/ until April 30, 2010, without further registration. Altogether more than 200 prizes can be won.

The certainly most attractive prizes are the 15 tickets for two for a group match, the quarter-final and even the final together with a three-day travel to South Africa – including flights, accommodation, transfers and an attractive social programme.

The game will end on April 30. On the one hand there are prizes for the best online kickers who netted the most balls. But there are also prizes for creative heads, the best level designers. What’s totally new: Every fan may create his own level, his own platform.

Continental stands not only for success but also for creativity and ingenuity. Dirk Rockendorf, head eBusiness for car tyres, explains the innovative co-operation with Facebook as follows: “On the one hand we reach the younger Internet users. On the other the application will spread virtually and thus multi-media as the participants can simply invite their Facebook friends and other Internet users to play the ContiTireKick or create their own levels.”

The two best players will each receive two ContiPremiumTickets for the final in Johannesburg on July 11, 2010. Two ContiPremiumTickets for the quarter-final in Johannesburg on July 2, 2010, will be drawn at random from among the players finishing on third to 100th place.

In addition the two best level designers will also get two ContiPremiumTickets each for the final in Johannesburg on July 11, 2010. And another two ContiPremiumTickets for the quarter-final in Johannesburg on July 2, 2010 will be drawn from among the level designers ranked third to 25th. Six times two ContiPremiumTickets for a group match in Johannesburg, 75 official Adidas footballs and 100 Vuvuzelas will be drawn from among all participants. Participation can be worthwhile in many respects.

The ContiTireKick has started on ten levels offered by Continental. The speciality that all players can built their own levels without great expenditure which then are made automatically available to all other players, seems to go down well: Up to now more than 35,000 football and Internet fans have already played and created almost 4,500 additional levels.
