Official sponsor Continental gives away numerous tickets to fans in drawings and fosters the next generation Hanover (pps) Continental AG, one of the official sponsors of the UEFA European Football Championship, makes about half of its ticket contingent available to fans. The other half is reserved for business customers. To ensure that the tickets are distributed as fairly and broadly as possible, the drawings have been and are held on several platforms. For instance, visitors to the Continental booth at the Geneva International Motor Show have a chance of winning four tickets each day, as in the previous year, with a total of 96 being given away in Geneva. At the IAA 2007, there was a total of 56 tickets. A quiz is being put on through May 15 together with a sports magazine, with a total of six tickets for a semifinal match as prize. It just doesn’t get any more attractive than that. |

There are also big chances of winning in the Conti Online Cup, which can be played at www.contifanworld.com, where the search is on for the European online champion through June 1. Each month, a drawing is held amongst the 100 best players for ten prizes, including tickets for the UEFA EURO 2008. At present Germany is leading, ahead of Italy and Poland. Another exciting feature is the video quiz, in which fans face off against the national goal keeper Timo Hildebrand. Quiz participants must guess if the ball will go into the goal or not – and who makes the goal. For this quiz, there is a total of 700 prizes – including tickets, of course. This makes it double worth your while to visit the official UEFA website www.euro2008.com. Alexander Lührs, press spokesman for Passenger and Light Truck Tires at Continental, is delighted: “With the ticket drawings, we are reaching precisely the target group of football enthusiasts that we are appealing to with our product communication. At the same time, we want to make use of the diversity and number of ticket promotions to express our bond with fans and football." But Continental doesn’t just concentrate on big football, it also fosters the next generation. From April 18 – 20 the company is organizing a training camp at VfL Lauterbach in Hessen, together with its partner Riefen Brod. For three days, up to 80 children ranging in age from 7 to 13 can train under professional conditions, under the direction of the Football League’s record-setting player Karl-Heinz "Charly" Körbel as well as other former league players. The €80 participation fee covers food and accommodation as well as training equipment – including a ball and a drinking bottle. Registration forms can be downloaded at www.ContiSoccerWorld.de.
