Continental AG mourns the passing of Robert Enke of Hannover 96

Hanover, November 2009: Yesterday evening football fans were hit by shocking news: The tragic death of Germany's goalkeeper Robert Enke has affected not only his fans and the entire world of German football but has also left the partners of his team, Hannover 96, reeling. "At Continental, we are shocked on all levels - as people, as football fans, and as elite sport partners.  We are reflecting deeply on this very sad news and our thoughts are with the family, friends, and team mates of this exceptional sportsman who was an absolute idol and role model in the Hanover region" says Timo Röbbel, responsible for sport sponsoring in Germany within Continental's Passenger and Light Truck Tires Spares Division.
