Spa Trans, an airfreight fleet business based near Heathrow Airport, is going from strength to strength thanks to its relationship with ContiNetwork Partner, Total Tyres.

The Spa Trans fleet consists of 18 tractor units and 23 trailers - all Volvo FH Globetrotters - and Spa Trans has used Continental tyres for over seven years.  Spa Trans' biggest customer is Cargolux Airlines, which involves extensive travel between the UK and Luxembourg.  The fleet also works with China Airlines, transporting various goods from machinery to clothing. Spa Trans was acquired by Paris-based SFS 15 months ago and former managing director Dave Fisher - now retired - was retained as a consultant for two years to ensure a smooth hand-over.

Spa Trans enjoys a positive relationship with Total Tyres who joined ContiNetwork in 2001. Total Tyres provide a range of Continental low profile tyres including the 215/75R17.5 HTR, 295/60R22.5 HDR and the recently introduced 265/70R19.5 HTR1, as well as the renowned HSR1 tyres (315/60 and 385/65R22.5 HSR1).  Continental has 100% fitment on the fleet. 

Crucial to the smooth running of the Spa Trans business is Continental's 24/7 European breakdown service - fundamental to the ContiNetwork offering, and the continual high levels of service from Total Tyres.
