2004.03.22 Yet another Business Benefit from Continental!

On 26th November 2003 we successfully launched ContiTread, our new range of cold cure remould products. This complements our existing range of hot cure remould products, ContiRe, and means that you can now exploit your Continental tyres and casings to their full potential.

ContiTread is the result of a European partnership agreement between Bandag and Continental and will be made for us in the UK under licence by Vacu-Lug.   It is made from original Continental casings and treads, using the renowned Bandag retreading technology.

Initially, 4 tread patterns will be available:

HDR- state of the art traction design for long haul and regional applications.  With high levels of traction it is also suitable for winter conditions.

HTR - wide single tread optimised for high wear, lateral scrubbing and maximum reliability.

HDC- aggressive traction design for on/off road use and construction work. 

HSU1 - specialised design for use on city buses in continuous start/stop operations.

These products come in a variety of different sizes.
