ContiNetwork Goes West

Continental today announced that truck tyre service provider, Somerset Tyres, based in Bridgewater, Somerset has been appointed to the ContiNetwork.

As a new ContiNetwork Partner, Somerset Tyres joins a nationwide network of the best independent truck tyre dealers. They provide local, regional and national fleets with individually tailored tyre management services and rapid-response tyre breakdown assistance. Backed by Continental, the ContiNetwork gives fleet operators access to more than 200 truck tyre service locations and a fleet of over 500 mobile service vans, operating across mainland UK and Northern Ireland.

ContiNetwork membership gives Somerset Tyres an exclusive territory - covering parts of Somerset and Devon - to provide expert service to Continental's growing base of national and regional truck fleet customers. Somerset Tyres, will also be using its ContiNetwork Partner status to grow its own base of local fleet customers.

Somerset Tyres is a privately owned business formed in 1996 by Tim Cottey. It is a single-site operation combining commercial and retail operations. Its size being its advantage, as it is small enough to know and respond to the specific requirements of its customers, including some well known national fleets. With three dedicated mobile service units, the company is able to offer roadside assistance 24/7 365 days a year across Somerset, North Devon and Bristol areas.

Leon McMahon, Channel Development Manager at Continental said, "Somerset Tyres has really strengthened our service capability in the South West. With their commitment to service excellence, we're delighted to welcome them into the ContiNetwork."

Tim Cottey, Managing Director of Somerset Tyres said, "We are delighted extremely pleased to be a part of the ContiNetwork and very much look forward to the opportunities that being part of the network provides."
