MBDE is a comprehensive training programme, running from April to November 2009, which combines both theoretical and practical training. The objectives of the programme include recognizing risks, avoiding dangers, mastering critical situations, understanding the safety technology and making the best use of the innovative features through hands-on experience. All courses are supervised by certified Mercedes-Benz driving instructors.

The ContiPremiumContact™ 2 (CPC 2) and ContiSportContact™ 3 (CSC 3) are among the more popular tyres suitably fitted for the range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles used in this programme.

The CPC 2 has innovative 3-D grooves that enhances the safety of the tyre on both wet and dry roads. It has excellent resistance to aquaplaning because of the 3-D grooves. Its precision in road handling and unbeatable driving stability make this tyre one of the more sought-after tyre among Mercedes-Benz drivers.

The CSC 3 has excellent grip on wet and dry surfaces, thus having shorter braking distances on both road conditions. On wet surfaces, the unique grooves allow increased clearance of water for better resistance to aquaplaning. The asymmetrical angled sides support and stabilize the pattern ribs and counteract lateral forces, thus providing excellent directional stability as well as extremely precise steering response during swift and abrupt steering manoeuvres.
