Following the already successful launch of the concept for Commercial Vehicle Truck tyres with four shops in early 2007, 11 more have been scheduled to open. In Malaysia the BestDrive shops open in addition to the existing Continental, Dunlop and Sime Tyres outlets.

BestDrive is the new global concept of Continental for premium tyre outlets which empowers its partners with the ability to make use of this brand to become positioned as uniform, specialised tyre dealers catering for the premium customer segment, whereby their premium brand attracts premium customers; their global network provides premium products; and they have marketing support that facilitates premium sales efforts. “If you see the logo, you know you will get the best service and products.” Choong Kee Seng, CST Sales Director stated.

Continental has identified the ASEAN markets as a major expansion platform and Malaysia as a key growth market within those plans. The BestDrive concept is an integral part of this strategy, for passenger and light truck as well as for truck tyres, offering a wide range of tyres for different conditions and services.

The official openings of these centres are done in stages through to Q1 of 2008.
