Non-contributory AvD membership

Hanover, November 2005. The rain tyre brand Uniroyal and the Automobile Association of Germany (AvD) worked out an even more attractive offer for tyre buyers: It will soon be possible to transfer the one-year, non-contributory AvD membership, that is receivable when buying four Uniroyal tyres, to a friend.

Since the start of this year about 1100 selected tyre specialists in Germany offer a  non-contributory AvD membership with the purchase of a kit Uniroyal tyres. This membership, worth 54 Euro, includes a big range of advantages for drivers and is free of malice. After one year the membership stops automatically (unless it is not extended on demand). Buyers, who are possibly already members of the AvD, will soon have an additional option: The membership, acquired with the purchase of tyres, can be transferred to a friend.

The AvD is the oldest and most traditional automobile association in Germany.

Beside this good reason for the sales talk Uniroyal provided its dealers with further ideas for advertising: Prepared press releases and pictures for passing on to the local newspaper, drafts for coop-advertisements with space for offers of Uniroyal winter tyres and the dealer’s details as well as a produced radio spot for local and regional stations, that can be supplemented with the name of the dealer. Last but not least a consumer flyer with an integrated application form for the AvD membership is available.

The Belgian rubber manufacturer Englebert has been producing tyres since 1895, for amongst others the Continental AG. Since 1979, the European brand Uniroyal, which introduced the world`s first rain tyre, belongs to the Continental AG in Hanover.
