Wide, circumfere tread grooves displace water from the centre of the tyre.
Tread grooves in the shoulder for longitudinal and later water displacement.
Intricate tread pattern element provide for a firm grip.
Short intervals between the tread pattern elements so taht the water has less distance to travel..
The rallye 550 in detail
High level of aquaplaning safety
To ensure the swift displacement of water, the rallye 550 boasts two circumferential tread grooves in the centre of the tyre. In addition, tread grooves in the tyre shoulder ensure that water is displaced across both the length and the width.
Short braking distances in wet conditions
To also be able to brake effectively on wet roads, a high level of grip is required. With the rallye 550, a large number of intricate tread pattern elements make for intensive contact between tyre and road, and thereby for a firm grip.
Computer-optimised tread geometry
When it comes to driving comfort, the tyre also plays an important role. Driving noises can be reduced by means of offset tread pattern elements which counteract driving noises. This means lower noise levels and therefore greater driving comfort.
