Beware of kerbstones...

because hitting them the wrong way can cause serious damage to your tyre.

If you drive over kerbstones too quickly or at an acute angle, this can result in impact damage. Bulges in the tyre sidewall indicate this type of damage and the consequence may be tyre failure at high speed or if the vehicle is heavily laden. One way or another, the life of your tyre will be drastically shortened.

Tip:

Drive over kerbstones very slowly and if possible at an oblique angle. Also avoid 'squashing' your tyre against the kerb when parking.
