Tyres from all manufacturers carry the so-called DOT number, which gives information about the production date, on the sidewall. Since early 2000 this number has consisted of four digits instead of three. The first two digits indicate the calendar week of production, the next two the year.

On the example shown here, the figures refer to the first calendar week of the year 2000.
