03.03.2008 Continental Race Activities for 2008

Hanover, March 2008. Continental's Motorcycle Unit is increasing its commitment for the 2008 racing season.

Riders in almost all national championships and the Endurance World Championship will be lining up this year on Continental motorcycle tyres. Three riders in the DMSB-Sportbike Pokal and almost 50 professional drivers will be competing on ContiRaceAttack tyres in the various classes of the popular German Seriensport championship.

In the SSP class of the international German championship 9 out of 45 riders will be running on Continental motorcycle tyres; the KTM Endurance Team is expected to use ContiRaceAttack and KTM RC 8 tyres for several times German champion Stefan Nebel in the Endurance World Championship.

Other well-known Conti riders abroad include: former GP rider Gregory Lefort will be running on Continental tyres in the SSP class of the French Championship, and is expected to win the first podium place, former 125GP winner Ivan Goi will be riding a Yamaha YZF-R1 in the Italian CIV.

Also in the Greek supersports championship Costas Politis made himself well noticed, taking two wins in consecutive races on his Triumph 675.
