Successful press event on the opening day of the show

Large numbers of journalists accepted the invitation from ContiTech and Continental Industrial Tires to a press meeting followed by a guided tour of the stand.

Hanover/Munich, April 2007. After welcoming journalists to the Continental stand, Meinhard Liebig from ContiTech's Board of Directors, spoke about the economic efficiency of the new products being exhibited at bauma. Dr. Thomas Böttcher, Managing Director at Continental Industrial Tires, then addressed the journalists, focusing on two new products - the CSE SC 20 and the Tubeless Sealing Ring (TSR) for tubeless radial tires. Important innovations such as the CSEasy rim/tire system also featured in his presentation. Dr. Böttcher went on to highlight the 'Continental Industrial Tires Innovation Tour 2007', which is just starting. In all, 15 Mercedes Vitos will be spending a period of twelve weeks visiting partners and customers of Continental throughout Europe. In terms of interior and exterior design, the vehicles have been specially prepared to accommodate the product presentation of the latest tire systems.
