Continental Industrial Tires at CeMAT

Hanover, April 2008. The Industrial Tires Business Unit, part of Hanover-based automotive supplier Continental AG, will be exhibiting at this year's CeMAT from 27th to 31st May, occupying a stand measuring 200 m² (Hall 25, stand M11). The Business Unit will be sharing the stand with its sister division ContiTech and, under the motto “Your premium partner for smart solutions,” will be showcasing the wide-ranging benefits of its industrial tire product offering. Visitors to the stand will also be able to experience the outstanding economic benefits of the products with a “cost of ownership simulator.”

Continental will be utilizing the Hanover CeMAT to exhibit a selection of its industrial tires which provide safe, economical and environmentally-friendly solutions. This includes the award-winning CSEasy SC20 solid tire, which does not require a fitting press, making it the most innovative tire in its class. This product is also available in a non-marking “CLEAN” version. Also on display will be the radial pneumatic tire ConRad, which offers the damage resistance of an industrial pneumatic tire for applications with sustained speeds - at airports, for example. Further exhibits include the fail-safe and maintenance-free Continental Elastic MH20, which ensures maximum stability under the most arduous conditions, like in roll-on/roll-off harbor operations. This product is also available in a CLEAN version, for use in industries such as the food sector and laboratory technology.

Continental is the only tire manufacturer to supply a comprehensive range of industrial tires, making it the No. 1 in Germany and Europe, and one of the top three worldwide.

With targeted annual sales of more than €26.4 billion for 2008, the Continental Corporation is one of the top automotive suppliers worldwide. As a supplier of brake systems, systems and components for the powertrain and chassis, instrumentation, infotainment solutions, vehicle electronics, tires and technical elastomers, the corporation contributes towards enhanced driving safety and protection of the global climate. Continental is also a competent partner in networked automobile communication. Today, the corporation employs approximately 150,000 people at nearly 200 locations in 36 countries.

The tire divisions are an Official Sponsor of UEFA EURO 2008TM, which will be held in Austria and Switzerland in June 2008. For further details, visit the websites www.ContiSoccerWorld.de, www.ContiFanWorld.com and www.conti-online.com.
