Cadel Evans fulfils his dream: Continental tyres carry the Aussie to longed-for tour victoryCadel Evans has achieved his dream. The 34-year-old Australian, who had to abandon last year’s Tour de France prematurely after breaking his elbow, finally secured the longed-for victory in the world’s most difficult bicycle race having come second in 2007 and 2008. For three weeks, his hand-made racing bike tyres from Continental carried him over more than 3,440 kilometres from France’s Atlantic coast, through the Massif Central, the Pyrenees and Alps before finally bringing him to Paris, the destination of his dreams.
