Fuel Systems

Fuel Pumps

The fuel pump is part of a fuel supply unit which is located in the tank. Read more on the VDO Website.

Fuel Supply Units

The fuel supply unit consists of a fuel pump (sometimes with swirl pot), a filter, and a flange with corresponding connections. In addition, the supply unit can be equipped with a lever-type sensor, or can be used with a tubular-type sensor. Read more on the VDO Website.

Fuel Level Sensor

The amount of fuel in the fuel tank is measured by a sensor. Read more on the VDO Website.

Fuel Pressure Regulators

Fuel pressure regulators maintain a defined fuel pressure. If pressure is exceeded, a spring-loaded membrane allows the return-flow channel to open, permitting excess fuel to flow back into the fuel tank. Read more on the VDO Website.

Fuel Pumps with Swirl Pot

Within a supply unit, a pump is installed into a swirl pot. Read more on the VDO Website.

Fuel Injector

The exact quantity of fuel is determined for every engine operating state. The injection valve injects the calculated quantity exactly dosed at the prescribed time. Read more on the VDO Homepage.
