DC/DC Converter – Guards against any loss of functionality

The DC/DC Converter provides for a stabilization of the vehicle’s Power Net System for select consumer items, e.g. multi-media devices, especially in the engine’s starting phase. This safeguards the voltage normally needed for uninterrupted functioning of the corresponding power consumer items. It thus acts as a buffer in the event that voltage should drop due to battery overload – especially as the result of a weakly charged or older battery.
