When is it time for winter tyres?

The first snowfall is what reminds many motorists of their winter tyres. To avoid irritating delays and shortages in availability, it is wise to switch tyres early. Depending on where you live and your driving requirements, that can be any time between early October and early November. At night the temperature can sometimes drop very sharply and it might already be too cold for summer tyres.
