Dear Facebook friends of Continental, as you have undoubtedly noticed, in the last couple days there has been a series of posts on our page that are critical of our company. At first we were deliberately reserved and did not react immediately, as we promote open communication with you. Without that, our Facebook page would be pointless.

In this case however, we now see no real willingness for dialogue, since most of the posts are nothing more than a spam campaign. For that reason, we will now be deleting all posts that are an active call for spam posting, since we feel that such behavior is not in keeping with netiquette. One important fact in this context: This year alone, Continental has created more than 8,000 new jobs, bringing the number of employees working for Continental around the globe to more than 156,000. Of course in a company of this size, policy decisions are always being discussed somewhere with employee representatives. We are committed, however, to being fair at all times in such talks, and above all, to hold them in compliance with local laws and regulations.
