Series production of the H 31 hydraulic brake booster for the BMW 7 series.

Production start of the ABS MK II for Ford USA and Ford Europe - the world's first integrated ABS (third generation).

Production start of the new anti-lock brake system with separate unit design (ABS MK IV and MK IV-G). Modular extension of the ABS systems MK II and MK IV with the traction control system (TCS).

Series production of the Electronic Brake System MK 60 with a new generation of valves and an integrated electronic controller with a core-redundancy concept and a "two-chip" design. The MK 60 is compatible with active and passive sensors. It is part of an EBS-family to equip all classes of vehicles.

The 50 millionth Electronic Brake System (EBS) comes off the production line in the plant Frankfurt.
