Our concepts for further enhancements of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC)* systems, for the Euroclass and upper class vehicle categories, include a spectrum of additional functions; from a simple ESC system, to a high-end system with the comfort and performance features available on Brake-by-Wire Systems of the future.

Features and improvements

  • New generation valve, analog controllable (A/D valves) for optimized wheel control
  • Analog controllable cut-off valves (A/D TCS valves) for convenient control of ACC and OHB
  • Improved ESC pressure dynamics (in cold by approximately 15%) achieved using a powerful pump and an optimized suction range
  • Integrated pressure sensors
  • Sensor cluster for yaw rate and longitudinal/lateral acceleration integrated into ECU
  • New chip set ER03 for higher integration
  • Hydraulic Brake Assist
  • Hydraulic ACC
  • Packaging and weight optimization
  • Improvements in performance of the ABS function are possible through the potential for integrating the wheel pressure information
