Safe, low-cost summer tyres from Barum

Hanover, spring 2006. Barum has two summer tyre lines in its range - one for compact cars and one for medium-sized and larger models. The main features of these tyres are their high mileage performance, safe driving characteristics and an attractive purchase price. The Bravuris was developed for medium range and luxury cars, whilst the Brillantis gives excellent performance on both small and compact cars. The Barum Vanis is designed for MPVs and light vans, combining safe driving characteristics and high economy. The tyres for 13"-18" rim sizes are approved for speeds up to 270 km/h (168 mph). In its summer tyre test, the German motoring association ADAC rated the Barum Brillantis as 'recommended' ('ADAC motorwelt', issue 3/2005), whilst the editorial team of 'Auto / Straßenverkehr' gave the Bravuris the rating 'good' ('Auto / Straßenverkehr', issue 6/2005). Barum has further enlarged its size range for this summer.

The Barum Bravuris -

a quality tyre for the H-, V- and Z-rated segment
High mileage performance and safe driving characteristics are the main features of the Barum Bravuris. Available in two directionally-orientated tread patterns, the Bravuris covers virtually all the tyre sizes currently on the market - right up to the 265/35 ZR 18. Barum combines good lateral guidance, short braking distances and safe performance in the wet with low purchase prices. That means these tyres, made in the Czech town of Otrokovice, are ideal for all motorists who may drive a larger car, but still want to keep vehicle running costs low - without foregoing safety. Acknowledging the good driving characteristics of the Bravuris, the tyre testers from the magazine 'Auto / Straßenverkehr' awarded it the rating 'good' ('Auto / Straßenverkehr', issue 6/2005). Two new sizes have now been added to the range.

The Barum Brillantis -

an economical tyre for compact cars

When it comes to tyres, economy can mean either high mileage performance or low cost. The Barum Brillantis offers both - plus good characteristics in the wet and short braking distances. Since the Brillantis will be available in five further tyre sizes this season, there will now be a tyre option from Barum for almost every car. The 'recommended' rating awarded by the examiners to the Barum Brillantis in the ADAC summer tyre test underlined the tyre's sound performance ('ADAC Motorwelt', issue 3/2005).

The Barum Vanis -

Special mention should be made of the combination of safe driving characteristics and high mileage performance offered by the Barum Vanis, a tyre designed for use on MPVs and light vans. Its flat belt contour and wide ground contact patch mean low wear, plus pleasantly short braking distances. The scuff rib on the sidewall protects the tyre when it comes into contact with kerbstones. This helps to prevent tyre failure caused by harsh kerbstone impact, as can happen with deliveries. This year three new 14" and 16" sizes extend the refitment options of this tyre.
