The Barum Bravuris -

In developing the Barum Bravuris, engineers focused on coming up with a tire that offered good mileage performance for fast vehicles with powerful engines. With two directional tread pattern variants, the Bravuris covers practically the full range of tire sizes available on the market - through to size 235/40 ZR 17.

With is sophisticated tread pattern technology, modern silica tread compound and balanced ground pressure distribution, the Bravuris meets many targets simultaneously. It offers uniform wear for a longer service life - an argument sure to win over those shopping around for a quality tire at a reasonable price. With the Bravuris the buyer gets a tire that is current state-of-the-art in terms of braking distance, cornering behavior and protection from aquaplaning. This summer customers have an expanded range of Barum Bravuris tires to pick from.

The Barum Brillantis –

economical tire for the compact-size category

In the case of tires, good value for money can mean good mileage performance or a low price. The Barum Brillantis caters to both demands from motorists not necessarily in the market for a premium brand. As summer specialist, this T-rated tire (approved for speeds of up to 190 km/h) is a good choice not only for compacts but also for lower-range standard-size vehicles as well. The Brillantis delivers good protection against aquaplaning, short braking distances and excellent mileage performance. Modern silica technology is used for the tread compound.

In designing the Barum Vanis, development engineers opted for the Barum Belt System. The result is a flat, wide contour that makes for a broad footprint. This is of advantage in terms of mileage and braking performance.

To further extend the service life of the Vanis, the tire sidewall was equipped with a chafer strip for added protection from curbstone-inflicted damage. This greatly reduces the likelihood of the tire wearing through and eventually failing.

New approaches were taken with respect to the tread pattern as well. The new puzzle tread pattern on the Vanis consists of interlocking tread blocks that form bands on the tread, making it possible to exploit the advantages of both bands and blocks. Solid tread bands make for good traction, handling and dry braking properties, while block tread patterns provide for good directional stability in the wet. These tread pattern elements interplay with the siping on the individual block components to cut through the film of water covering the road to improve handling characteristics on wet roads as well. Additional drainage channels help expel water from the tire´s contact patch.
