„Top Automotive Employer Germany 2009/10" ranking Continental offers its employees an excellent work-life balance. This is confirmed by a recent study, "Top Automotive employer Germany 2009/10", conducted by CRF, the leading research company in the area of employer branding. Continental took first place in this category. A key element of the so-called "work-life balance" is provided by offers which facilitate the combination of family and career. A broad range of offers enable our employees to create a personal balance between their work and their private life. Continental scored in the work-life category with various time management programs, flexible working hours schemes, and a company day-care center. Moreover, the company offers individual working hours regulations for young mothers and fathers and facilitates their return to work by providing training programs during parental leave. A comparison with other companies shows: Continental is an international corporation with high performance expectations, which nevertheless remains employee-friendly. Nowadays work-life balance programs are playing an ever greater role. On the one hand, they have a positive effect on employee motivation, and on the other, they are a decisive factor when it comes to choosing a company to work for. In order to capture the interest of highly-coveted qualified personnel, companies should therefore be creative in their human resources policies and not lose sight of the needs of their employees. "For Continental, being an attractive employer means encouraging an open company culture and addressing the staff's needs. We are therefore committed not only to flexibility, but also to an individual and innovative human resources policy. CRF has been identifying the most attractive employers in Germany since 2003. Since 2007, in cooperation with the renowned consultancy A.T. Kearney, CRF has conducted a study which commends German companies in the automotive industry for providing outstanding working and career conditions.
