The “Poli Racing team” was founded in August of 2008 as an initiative of a few students of mechanical and mechatronic engineering that wanted to face a new challenge, the Formula SAE competition. Today, we are 18 students from many areas of engineering.

It was really hard to start a team out of nowhere, especially with the difficulties of being in South America. But our team worked really hard and built the first car: "Poli 09", which was really good considering the challenges we had. In our first year we have finished in 6th place out of 19 cars, finishing in front of many experienced teams and being the best rookie team in the 2009 competition of Formula SAE Brazil.

This year we are trying to consolidate the team and we are preparing it to become a champion in the near future. Our focus in 2010 is to know all the details of the project and have it well manufactured, making the goals of our 2011 project much more achievable.
