The "Lions Racing Team" was founded in 2000 as a student initiative of the Technical University of Braunschweig with the goal to develop and produce a car for the "Formula Student". The name and the logo of our team is derived from the heraldic animal of our home town.

The "Lions Racing Team" consists of students from diverse fields of studies. Thus, mechanical and electrical engineers, computer scientists, industrial engineers and social scientists have been working for the success hand in hand in our project. Since our 2^nd place in the overall ranking of the Formula Student Germany 2008 at the latest, we belong to the best teams in Europe and hope to continue this success in the upcoming years. In 2010 we already constructed and manufactured our 9^th race car and we strive to participate in the Formula Student Electric 2011.
