The team „Technikum Mittweida Motorsport“(TMM) was founded in 2006 in the former faculty of mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida. With this founding the students followed the footsteps of the famous mechanical engineer August Horch, who studied at the Technikum Mittweida from 1888 to 1891.

2008 was the first time TMM was represented at the Hockenheimring and participated in the Formula Student Germany

With a team of 60 students in 2009, TMM took it to the next level and presented TOURO – the black bull with golden horns. Together with this race car they started the second time at the international competition in Hockenheim.

In the last years TMM developed to a interfaculty project: Mechanical engineers, electrical and information engineers, mechatronic specialists, media managers and technicians, multimedia managers and industrial engineers work together hand in hand. The freedom to perform in one’s own actions and the taking over of responsibility enable a continued development of the team members beyond their individual field of expertise. The thus released potentials ensure the success of TMM – now and also in the future.
