The cornerstone of the project Horsepower Hanover was laid in 2007 by a group of about 10 students from the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hannover, who wanted to gain some practical experiences besides their theoretical studies. After the foundation of the nonprofit association and its official recognition, we participated for the first time at Hockenheim and Silverstone in 2009, with our first race car, the RP09.

Currently, about 25 students are involved in building our second race car. Because of the many experiences and impressions that we gained in our first year, we are optimistic that we will be successful with our RP10.
