Mechatronics

As an interdisciplinary course, the subject combines elements from information technology, electro-technology and mechanical engineering. The application areas are diverse. The focus areas are project processing, technical service and technical management. In addition to solid specialist knowledge, cross-process thinking and action are of key importance as mechatronic specialists are technical generalists.

Degrees

  • Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Science
  • Depending on the course, you may also take part in a Chamber of Commerce program leading to an apprenticeship qualification.

Cooperation partners

The locations work with various universities and vocational schools.

Process

  • Study at the associated university or vocational school
  • Practical phases in companies, some with apprenticeship qualifications
  • Some international internships at a Continental plant
  • Participation in additional measures (seminars, language teaching, tours etc.)
  • Three-month Bachelor dissertation produced in connection with a current task in the company

Duration of training

6 - 8 semesters (depending on the location/course)
