How did you wind up at the company and what exactly does your job involve?
I have been working for Continental for 16 years now. The area I am currently working in is the entire loading process. I prepare the transport of goods for domestic and international shipping, issue the shipping documents, and check the load security. Continental was and still is an attractive employer which offered excellent perspectives for the future.

What has been your biggest challenge?
Being the only woman to work among 300 men is a daily challenge. It is often loud and dirty in my department. Nonetheless, I have to do the same tasks as my male colleagues. But that's exactly what makes it so much fun. I don't want any special treatment, just because I'm a woman.

How would you describe the working atmosphere and corporate culture?
There is a great atmosphere. The atmosphere at Continental is generally very good; women are well integrated in all areas and receive excellent training.

What postgraduate training does the company offer?
Continental supported me wonderfully on the way to my master craftsman examinations. The company generally provides very many opportunities for personal development. At the moment, however, I see no need for further training. I like my profession and am very happy in my work.

What skills should future employees possess?
In my opinion, a positive and motivated attitude to work is very important. All future employees - whether women or men - should possess courage, interest, and passion.

Outside of your job, which I'm sure can be very stressful at times, what do you like to do to relax?
I like to spend my free time in the great outdoors, far away from noise and stress. Apart from that, I get together with my friends and stay fit by swimming and running.
