Continental chose Frankfurt am Main as the location for this year’s workshop of its Global Engineering Internship Program (GEIP). The workshop, being part of the second international GEIP year, was extremely successful. The 16 students from five different nations who took part in the event met representatives of the GEIP partner universities and of Continental.

The students of the Global Engineering Internship Program (GEIP) met in a workshop in Vienna and Otrokovice from July, 27th until August 2nd. During the workshop 18 selected students from seven countries got together with professors from the Global Engineering Excellence (GEE) Universities, as well as with high-ranking Continental representatives.

In October 2005 the Global Engineering Excellence (GEE) was started with a global team of eight international top universities from three continents – initiated by Continental AG.

Continental AG has actively promoted young engineers for years. Together with eight leading universities this commitment has now been integrated into the Global Engineering Excellence initiative. For the official start, Continental and its partner universities have created a program that illuminates this subject from various international perspectives.
