The unit consists of:

Let-off station

The let-off station is executed as cross-carriage and transportable via an edge guiding system.

Cutting and windup station

The cutting and windup station is a fixed station, in which at a maximum of 14 crush cutters are arranged over a slitting roller to separate the fabric. The windup occurs at two separate winding points.

Let-off station consisting of:

• Tilting bearing and winding mandrel (43 mm) for calender roll
• A tilting bearing with single-rotor disk brake; braking force can be adjusted manually
• Tilting bearing opens and shuts pneumatically

Windup station for empty separator cloth:

• Tilting bearing and winding mandrel (43 mm) for empty separator cloth
• A tilting bearing with single-rotor disk brake; braking force can be adjusted manually
• Tilting bearing opens and shuts pneumatically
• Servomotor with brake and resolver

Nip roller stripper:

• Servomotor with brake and resolver for coa ted stripper roller
• Idler pulley can be swung in pneumatically

Rewinding operation:
Via a clutch the windup station drive can be switched to the calender roll drive.

Cutting and windup station consisting of:

Cutting roller:

• Cutting roller hardened
• Servo-motor with brake and resolver; this motor also powers the top idler and the edge strip stripper

Positioning lever for crusher cutter

• Crusher cutters manually adjustable to traverse; cutting pressure can be pneumatically adjusted
• Cutters are swung onto the cutter roller pneumatically

Edge strip stripper:

• Fixed spool; driven by cutter roller via timing belts; with friction and slipper clutches
• Swiveling pair of rollers to separate the edge material

Windup stations (2 pieces):

• Tilting bearings
• Pneumatic winder shafts (40 mm)
• Servo-motors with brakes and resolver

Operation:

To load the unit, the drives can be inched or jogged from the corresponding operator panel

• letoff station operator panel
• operator panel 1 in space in between for empty separator cloth
• operator panel 2 in space in between for cutter roller
• Beckhoff control panel for automatic operation of windup points

The windup speed can be set manually at the control panel. The windup length is set in advance - the windup operation stops when the specified length is attained.

Safety features:

• Door and guard fence between the two stations
• Scanner checks the area in front of the windup stations
• Emergency shutoff basebar in front of the windup stations
• Cover pivots for cutter
• Emergency shutoff at various points
• Let off station´s light curtain

Hoisting system:
Customer to provide accessories like crane and gear for loading and unloading purposes.

Electric control:
Software and hardware designed and delivered by CM to the latest state of the art.
