The Continental corporation and its employees in North America have donated about $100,000.00 for those affected by the catastrophic flooding in November 2007 in the Mexican states of Tabasco and Chiapas, which resulted in an estimated $700 million worth of damage. Concerned about the magnitude of the floods, Continental employees in North America have responded by collecting clothing, bottled water, canned food, clothing, baby food and cash contributions. The company has added $50,000 to further support the relief efforts. The collected supplies have been transported to the affected areas through the distribution network of Continental’s tire operations in Mexico and local relief organizations.
