In order for us to optimally appeal to college graduates as an attractive employer, the opinions of students are of central importance to Continental. The corporation is especially interested in topics such as working hours, career, and qualification, as well as questions of the competitiveness of different locations and social or university reforms. Continental will probably hire around 1.500 university graduates and Young Professionals in 2011, including some 400 in Germany.

Since 2004, the corporation has been surveying around 1,000 students each year in cooperation with the polling institute tns/infratest. Since 2005, the student survey has taken place in Romania as well. In 2011 Chinese students were also surveyed for the first time. Till now, the company has conducted seven student surveys in German and three in Romanian.
