Commitment to Education and Science

Training and supporting the next generation are every company's key functions in order to secure long-term success. For Continental, the ongoing scarceness of qualified engineers provides a special challenge. The corporation will probably hire around 750 university graduates in 2009, up to 15 percent of them in Germany alone.

Continental continuously invests in the training of young people and systematically promotes the integration of young people to the working world. In addition, the Company and its locations maintain an intensive exchange with universities and research establishments in the whole world as well as a long-term dialogue with both school and higher education students. Here the opinions of the younger workers on topics such as qualification, working hours, career as well as university reforms and the location's competitiveness form the center of the discussions.
