It is the tradition of employees at Continental's Chinese plant in  Wuhu to  be actively involved in a range of social and humanitarian efforts. In June 2010, for instance, three representatives of the management visited a school for socially disadvantaged children in a suburb of Wuhu. During a special ceremony there, they presented the school administration with a donation to cover educational and sports equipment and to ensure the further education of the 30 students, plus a number of gifts.

The effort was organized in collaboration with the Wuhu Women's Union. As a thank-you for the generous donation, they awarded the Continental representatives with the "Loving Care Company" certificate.
