Team training at the Edersee nature reserve

In May, 29 trainees from Continental Korbach spent five exciting and educative days at the Edersee nature reserve to acquire key qualifications for their personal professional lives.  The main focus was on dependability, teamwork and a personal sense of responsibility. Held in cooperation with Sportjugend Hessen, the extracurricular outdoor training program was led by two part-time trainers. The young people completed tasks of increasing difficulty, all of which fostered their social skills. A link to nature was created through activities by the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union and a hike to the National Park Center in Herzhausen.

Continental in Korbach has promoted these kinds of personal skills for more than ten years with the aim of encouraging lifelong learning.

The trainees from Korbach have also acquired further knowledge in the field of health through an exercise and nutrition awareness day. 100 trainees attended 6 workshopsfocused on healthy living. To also reward that this kind of behavior over the longer term, the training department helps its new talent achieve the German Sports Badge.

These two activities are part of a comprehensive prevention concept, which also covers measures on how to deal with the dangers of addition and appropriate road conduct.
