South Africa, May 2010. CTSA (Continental Tyres South Africa) supports the “Move-It, Moving Matters” school sports program, which has the goal of getting physical education reintroduced in the public schools.  

CTSA employees visited local schools which had shown interest in the program but did not offer their pupils any physical education. Just one initial donation from CTSA already made it possible to train teachers in a private elementary school, who learned what they needed to know and do in order to implement the “Move-It, Moving Matters” program.

In December 2010, the program had already made it possible for 5,000 school kids in 21 elementary schools to participate in physical education. Since the start of the 2011 school year, another two schools have joined the program.
