At the end of March 2010, employees of Continental Tire Mexico were commended for their social commitment with the "ESR®" Award from the "Mexican Center for Philanthropy" (CEMEFI) and the "Alliance for Enterprise Responsibility" (ALIARSE).

The award was presented  to some 400 Mexican companies this year. Criteria that were analyzed included corporate governance and ethics, family-work balance, health and corporate security, working conditions, training, social involvement and environmental protection.

For many years, employees in Mexico have attached great importance to ethical dealings and CSR activities. This is reflected for instance in the company's guidelines, in its personnel management and in its social commitment.
