Breaking down prejudices, encouraging empathy – this is the goal of "Aspect Change", the pilot project which ContiTech initiated for the trainees in Northeim in cooperation with Christian Service.  Five trainees already experienced a personal change in perspective and spent three days observing life at a day center for homeless, in an elderly home and at a work center for the disabled. The goal of "Aspect Change" is to increase respect towards socially disadvantaged people. "The brief insight that our trainees were able to gain is a starting point to breaking down prejudices," says Bärbel Sadek-Geipel, human resources manager at ContiTech in Northeim. "We will continue with our involvement. As a major employer in the region and also as a global corporation, it is important to us to help socially disadvantaged people and also to increase understanding and tolerance for one another."
