Carbon Disclosure Project

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is based on an initiative of 534 institutional investors who manage assets of more than $64 trillion. It is a non-profit organization that aims to create more transparency regarding environmentally damaging emissions. Once a year, the CDP requests data and information on environmental protection from listed companies on behalf of its investors. This applies in particular to the management’s assessment of climate change and its effects on the company, the systematic recording of CO2 emissions, and the management’s strategies for reducing these emissions.

Since 2009 we have been handling CDP’s wide-ranging list of questions. For this fiscal year, we have decided to have our data and information published for the first time. It will be reported on the CDP website in the late fall of 2011, and is at the same time linked to a public ranking of our company by the CDP organization.
