Highest mechanical stability under load, highest compressive strength and resistance

Continental has been contributing hydraulic brake hose assemblies for the automotive industry since the 1920’s. With an annual production of approximately 40 million brake hose assemblies, Continental is the world leader in this sector today.

As a full brake system supplier, Continental distinctively places its’ direct knowledge of overall hydraulic brake design into this product.  The complete OEM experience, coupled with the specialized technology of an OE world market leader, uniquely places Continental near the top for brake hose assemblies with their ATE brand.

Continental’s development and advanced technology is distinguished in the market by the following:

  • More than 70 braiding machines for braid production.
  • Autoclaves or vulcanizing presses, and automatic surface control for the production of the inner and outer rubber layers.
  • Primary use of extruded connectors.
  • Test stands and laboratories are abundantly available for assured accuracy in satisfying the rigid criteria of all customer specifications.
  • Outstanding quality standards with compliance certifications for FMVSS106 on our ATE brake hose assemblies, as well as ISO 14001 certification for production.
  • In-house ATE N standards that exceed the legal requirements.

ATE Type 9 brake hose assemblies

The current Type 9 brake hose generation, featuring an EPDM rubber inner and outer layer, combined with a double layer of PVA reinforcement, provides the highest dynamic strength and pressure resistance. Thermal resistance, as well as chemical resistance to oils, fuels and other environmental influences, are quality characteristics that the ATE brand upholds.
